[...] Humane Society Legislative Fund (HSLF): Humane Society Legislative Fund Endorses Obama-Biden I’m proud to announce today that the HSLF board of directors — which is comprised of both Democrats and Republicans — has voted unanimously to endorse Barack Obama for President. The Obama-Biden ticket is the better choice on animal protection, and we urge all voters who care about the humane treatment of animals, no matter what their party affiliation, to vote for them.
I should also add that Obama *had* my vote; when the primaries came to MO, it was down to Clinton and Obama. I voted for Kucinich because I didn't care which of the two won - but I planned to vote for the winner in the general election. That was before the rampant misogyny from all corners Democrat (directed first at Clinton, now at Palin), and before Obama began the right-wing pandering and flip-flopping.

Not only has he not earned my vote, he actually lost it.

Tracy - I know exactly where Palin stands on animals, and it's not pretty.

But if Obama specifically - and the Democrats in general - want my vote, they'd better earn it. It's not theirs by default. And they haven't earned it, IMHO.

I'm voting for McKinney, because the Green Party is more my speed - the Dems just aren't progressive enough, and perhaps if they begin losing their base to third parties, they'll *get* more progressive. I'm sick of being taken for granted. I'm sick of them not doing jack to advance my causes. I'm sick of them pandering to the right. I'm sick of them flip-flopping and caving on important issues.

And on a macro level, I'm sick of the whole f'in two-party system. We need electoral reform, and it's silly to expect that either the Dems or Repubs will give it to us. Why should they? They've got a nice little monopoly going here.

You want McCain in the White House? He didn't bother filling out his questionnaire, and you should know where Palin stands on animals.

Sure, Obama may not be perfect, but we certainly can't afford McCain/Palin.
