<em>Even a super secret death ray wouldn’t need 20 times the national average of household energy usage.</em>

Dude, a death ray capable of vaporizing all of humanity? Would totally require that much energy. Probably more. Not to mention the fuel it'd take to transport that baby to another planet so that it can be aimed at earth.

On a serious note, Al also has children and eats meat - both of which significantly add to his carbon imprint - as do most other environmentalists. Yet, neither necessarily negate the truth of what he/they are saying. Dislike Al (or those "elitist" tree huggers) all you want, but don't use that as an excuse to avoid acting in an ethical manner where the environment is concerned.

"Perhaps the uptick in Al’s energy usage can be attributed to the super-secret death ray he’s covertly developing"

Even a super secret death ray wouldn't need 20 times the national average of household energy usage.

"Gore’s mansion, located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES)."

I am sticking with Occam's razor. Al is an elitist hypocrite.

Perhaps the uptick in Al's energy usage can be attributed to the <a href="http://www.drhorrible.com/" rel="nofollow">super-secret death ray</a> he's covertly developing. Should he succeed in vaporizing all of humanity, methinks the extra energy usage would be well worth it.

Go, Poison Ivy, Go!

Perhaps Mr. Gore could show us that he really believes in his cause.

http://www.tennesseepolicy.org/main/article.php?article_id=367
http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/gorehome.asp

Apparently, his energy usage has increased 10% since then. i guess he can simply buy some carbon offsets. I wonder if has any financial stake in those "carbon offset" companies....

From his website WeCanSolveIt.org:
"We can do this quickly if all Americans -- every single one of us -- embrace this and insist on it. Every scientist, every teacher, every investor, every family -- there is a role for each of us."

After you, Al.
