me sow speshal!
February 8th, 2008 4:53 pm by Kelly GarbatoI’m one of four (four!) people in my county to vote for Dennis Kucinich in the MO primary!
To put that in perspective, consider that:
4,530 total votes were cast (yeah, I live in the sticks);
On the Dem side,
1,488 (57.1%) people voted for Hillary Clinton;
980 (37.6%) people voted for Barack Obama;
91 (3.5%) people voted for John Edwards;
8 (.3%) people voted for Mike Gravel (my second choice);
7 (.3%) people voted for Ralph Selbring (Ralph Spelbring!? WTF is that?);
6 (.2%) people voted for Bill Richardson;
4 (.2%) people voted for Joe Biden;
1 (.0%) person voted for Chris Dodd; and
15 (.6%) people were UNCOMMITTED (!)
On the Repube side,
611 (31.9%) people voted for John McCain;
606 (31.7%) people voted for Mitt Romney (too bad, so sad!);
495 (25.9%) people voted for misogyny and holy war Mike Huckabee;
171 (8.9%) people voted for Ron Paul (ZOMG RON PAUL!!!1!!!!11!);
12 (.6%) people voted for Rudy Giuliani;
9 (.5%) people voted for Fred Thompson; and
10 fucknuts voted for other Republicans and/or were UNCOMMITTED.
I must also note that the vile race-baiter known as Tom Tancredo got no votes. Huzzah!
Also, 12 people voted for one of six Libertarian candidates, but…yawn.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll vote for the Democratic nominee in the national election (unless comes out that Hillary enjoys tearing into sweet, tender puppy flesh, or Barack likes to relax by going on canned hunts), but I’m just too ambivalent to pick one over the other. Besides, I love me a good protest vote, and only one (one!) of my top five choices made it to Super-duper-pooper-scooper Tuesday. Rawk on, Mike Gravel. Rawk on!
